Went to Zen Den for a couple of beers and then to Vela Latina for some sushi

As we were sitting on the beach enjoying our meal a strange thing happened!

It started raining!!!!!

Lasted about an hour, latest in the dry season I have ever seen rain here!

Liane & Jeff made it in safe and sound, sat on the front porch and had a few beer to catch up

As we are sitting out there the neighbors decided it was a good night to set off fire works, 

scared the crap out of us!!!!

Speaking to Arno in the morning, they thought someone had been shot LMAO

Crazy day off yesterday...last one until Christmas day!!!

Picked up Arno in the afternoon at LIR, then in the evening went to Belle and Richard's wedding at Barracuda, was a lovely event!!

Today was busy as all get out!!!!

Not only slammed busy for regular business but made an additional 200 pizzas for the kid's Christmas party upstairs at the Church!!!

Bakery is busy...keeping me out of trouble! That and Arno is in the US, picking him up on Sunday afternoon in Liberia...
Cody from Las Ranas (fellow Canuck from AB) did a run to SJO and picked me up Christmas Dinner!!!

Awwww! Maricela who left the bakery about a month ago just stopped by to give me a present and tell me that although the Guanamar Hotel pays more she really misses working for me!
This is the gift she brought me, what a nice thought!

Quick turn & burn to Tamarindo to meet up with Liane & Jeff and get the laptop charger they brought from Canada for me! Happy to have a laptop again...

Having laptop charger problems...borrowed one from someone so currently have a full charge but that's it!!

Liane arriving from Canada and has a new one for me...hoping to hook up with her soon, she's not coming to Carrillo until Dec. 21!

Just getting back from Nicoya running errands, bakery is busy...jump right in!

On Monday took a counterfeit bill...20000 colones= $40 plus the $38 in change the guy took from us...
Ordered a machine that check for fake bills $100= Priceless!

Oh well...live & learn!!

Day off...supposed to go me a guy who is opening a Sub Shop on the beach to supply him with bread but he is already an hour late calling me to confirm...pura vida!

Nicaragua was fine except for a flat tire...no worries...home by 4pm good until February now.

Another busy day!

Day off tomorrow, doing a border run to Nicaragua, not because I need to for immigration...my application for residency is in but because I need to for my driver's license...love red tape!!!

Nice chill day off yesterday...ran a couple of errands in Samara and chilled at home, got lots of paperwork done...
Then had a couple of beers on the front porch in the evening with my new neighbors from New Brunswick Shirley & Tony.
They are moved in for 6 months, nice couple!

Last night enjoyed a glass of wine with my new Neighbors Shirley & Anthony, Shirley is Acadien! Merci very much!! Love bilingual New Brunswick! Anthony is originally from Ontario.

They rented for 6 months

Next week I will be busy moving, first going to San Jose on Tuesday to pick up some things I will need, sheets...then booked off Wednesday & Thursday as well to move over and set up my new pad!

For now off to work, going in early so Xinia can leave as it is her eldest son's 1st communion today.

Well...never made it to Nicoya the other day...So going late this am after opening the bakery today.
I have decided to put off the windshield repair for a while as the crack is on the passenger side and my RTV annual inspection is not due until August and to pass a good windshield is required...
So later for that!
Still have to go run errands in Nicoya thought today!

Off to Nicoya tomorrow morning to see about getting my windshield replaced...it was it by a stone and the crack is growing!
Should be an adventure I am sure!

Bakery is picking up, booking a few wedding cakes for later in the season which is great

Well that sucked!
Worked to early shift and then ran some errands and started some packing.
hopped a shower and decided a quick nap around 6pm before I head out...woke up at midnight!!!
So missed going out...
Oh well!
Off to lunch with Shannon today and then dinner tonight at Arno's with his friends from France that are visiting

Well my wish came through! It cleared up around lunch time!
So Brenda and I went and walked all of Carrillo Beach there and back and then went for a swim in the pool (Brenda doesn't like to swim in the ocean!)
Working early shift today at the bakery and then looking forward to going to see a new band in town have their debut at Zen Den this evening, I think everyone will come out to support them!

Yesterday & today are my days off...Yesterday was sunny first thing in the morning but had to go run errands in Nicoya, it rained from 9am on all day!
Just woke up this morning to rain again!!!!!
Look like the kind that lasts all day too...

Lots of action on Sunday in Samara! Annual clean up around town!
Picking up illegals, busted the cat house in Montepalo and the laudry in town where are the drug dealers used to hang out lol

Going to be living off the soccer field, apartment is twice as big and $200 less a month! No brainer...

That fridge was Gross!!!!!!!

The girls did most of the cleaning as I had to run into Nicoya to get the fridge serviced as it is still under warranty...Service is 8 to 10 days, bloody AWESOME!!!!!

Trip to Nicoya was uneventful... Same detour as last year when the same bridge was out

When I got back to Samara, popped into the bakery to drop off some purchases only to find my less than 1 year old fridge in the kitchen died probably the day after we closed two weeks ago! Smelt like we were storing dead bodies!!!

Was not prepared for this mess so returned in the morning with the girls to get in cleaned up

Headed for Zen Den for some afternoon cocktails with the First Fridays gang. Awesome turn out!
