September 25

We get up early, grab a great breakfast and check out a few stores as we were told shopping is good and a lot cheaper in Panama...
We then hop a bus to Panama (8 hrs) $15 each, double decker up top and front row, great views all the way in.
We get to the bus station in Panama City around 7pm. The bus depot is also Alderbrook Mall, one of the largest malls in Central America!
Feels like Canada or the US. Woo Hoo some civilization!
We hop a cab to our hotel again, not the Ritz but suitable... Grab dinner at the hotel next to ours and hit the sack!

September 24

So much for taking the car to Panama! So it turns out after speaking with the lawyer that went to court with me for the accident. The courts automatically put a lean on your car until the case is sorted out...seems they did not lift the lean even thought it was all sorted...So will sort that out next week when back in CR.
So we left SJO around 10 am and headed for the border.
There's a bridge along the way to Jaco that boasts a lot of crocs, wow they were not joking! They kept popping up from everywhere!

Oh yes tourists come down to the edge of the river for a fee and you can feed the crocs!
NOT!

Then on to Jaco & Quepos, Manuel Antonio,
not exactly sure where we took these shots along the way...

So we haul ass to the border, find secure parking at the border for my car and head to the CR exit point, no problems...then we head to the Panama entry point and here we go!
We had to go buy bus tickets only available to SJO to show we were leaving Panama $40 each,
then we also needed to show $500 each!
Anyhow sorted ourselves out...and we cross into Panama,
hopped a shuttle for $3 each to David about 1-1 & 1/2 away.
Once at the bus station we crab a $2 cab ride to our hotel.
Not the Ritz but suitable for a night's sleep!

Let's get a cold beer and some food!

September 24

Well drove into SJO yesterday to get this paper that permits me to take my car out of CR.
Nothing is ever easy here!!
Seems back in January when I had my accident and was found guilty and I paid the $34 fine it was not registered with the national registry and therefore they cannot give me the paper until I sort out the rest...
So this morning at 7am we are going to be at Cosevi (like MTO) to sort out why on their site the fine shows paid but it was never put on the National registry.
Then hopefully we can go back and receive the paper and be on our way.
Depending on how long this business takes with determine where we end up tonight as Panama border closes at like 6-7 pm.

September 22

Spent the day in my PJ's today, getting laundry done...
Off to SJO in the am, then Panama here we come!

September 16

Yesterday was an interesting day...Usually close the bakery at 5pm on Sundays...counted up the receipts for the day and cleaned up at 4:45pm all I had left to do is drag in the tables & chairs off the patio and
BANG here comes the rush, next thing I know it's 6:30pm and I have made $100 in the last couple of hours!
Wish there were more days like that LOL
